Helping a Community Reach Out

Watershed Charlotte is a vibrant community of Christians in Charlotte, NC.  They just celebrated their sixth year anniversary with, among other things, the launch of a new website that I was honored to work on.  It was time for a redevelopment and using a design from another local designer, we set out to bring that design to life using MODX Revo in the background and some jQuery goodness on the front end.

The highlights on this one are:

• A large, fading, slideshow on the homepage that points at featured pages on teh site (developed using jQuery and some background-postion animation for the pointer)
• A horizontal slider on the homepage that links to various small-group meetings or "Blocs" in Watershed-speak
• Nice integration with Colobox.js
